Overview
The VITA 46.11 Mock Chassis Manager is a powerful tool to assist board vendors and system integrators with solving problems on the IPMB system management interfaces.
Debugging VITA 46.11 IPMC implementations can be a tough job. Compliant Chassis Managers are required to actively poll the IPMB interfaces for device presence. These features make it complex to debug IPMC solutions in isolation; from hitting breakpoints in the software to capturing the I2C lines on an oscilloscope.
The Mock Chassis Manager provides engineers with full control over commands across the IPMB-A and IPMB-B interfaces. It supports the RMCP protocol to connect to ipmitool running on any lab PC, and a command line interface to send raw commands across the interface.
Just connect the SAMV71 Xplained board with a LAN cable to your PC and with IPMB wires to the VPX management interface and your debugging or compliance verification can start.
